Previously he was Associate Curator of the Centro de Residencias Artísticas de Matadero Madrid, Research and Symposium Associate of the osloBIENNALEN FIRST EDITION), co-founder of BAR project (Barcelona) and has been part of the program commission of HANGAR Barcelona.

In charge of Institutional Relations in ZⓈONAMACO; she’s an independent curator and researcher, and member of the Curatorial Committee of #novoysola, a feminist art project. She has a Masters degree in Modern and Contemporary Art and her career has focused on curating and managing artistic and documentary collections. She has worked in Curare A.C., Espacio Crítico para las Artes (2005-2009); in Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), UNAM, in the documentary collection at Centro de Documentación Arkheia (2009-2013) as Researcher and Associated Curator; and as Director of Art Projects and of the Artistic collection of Fundación AMMA (2013-2019)

Colombian curator. Artistic Director of rīvus, 23rd Biennale of Sydney, Australia (2022). He runs FLORA ars+natura, an independent space for contemporary art in Bogotá. He was the Estrellita B. Brodsky Adjunct Curator of Latin American Art at Tate, London (2012-15), and curator of the LARA collection, Singapore (2012-20). He managed the arts program at the Banco de la República in Bogotá (1994-2008). Roca was co-curator of the I Poly/graphic Triennial in San Juan, Puerto Rico (2004), the 27th Bienal de São Paulo, Brazil (2006) and the Encuentro de Medellín MDE07 (2007), and was the Artistic Director of Philagrafika 2010 in Philadelphia.

Curator, producer and writer. Founder and Director of independent art initiatives such as Havana Art Weekend, a four-day program of exhibitions, open studios and performances throughout the city of Havana; and more recently Together, a hybrid platform for alternative art projects. She was Director of Exhibitions at Faena Art in Miami and Buenos Aires (2016-2021), where she coordinated and curated site-specific public art installations and immersive projects. This year she curated the 2022 edition of the Faena Prize for the Arts, exhibited at the Faena Beach during Miami Art Week; and “Hexagon Garden” by Alexandre Arrechea presented at Superblue, Miami. Curator of ZⓈONAMACO EJES.

Curator at The Modern in Fort Worth, where she's currently curating several exhibitions. She was curator at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). Her exhibitions have traveled to prestigious institutions such as Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh and El Museo de Barrio, New York. At PAMM, she founded and spearheaded the Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI). Formerly, Ortiz was curator of contemporary arts at the Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros in Mexico City.

Chief Curator and Deputy Director of Curatorial and Collections at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, currently under construction in Los Angeles. In her role at the Lucas Museum, Tompkins Rivas provides leadership, strategic direction, and managerial oversight for curatorial, exhibitions, acquisitions, collections management, and conservation. Previously, she was the Director and Chief Curator of the Vincent Price Art Museum at East Los Angeles College, as well as Coordinator of Curatorial Initiatives at LACMA.
