Built with the objective of promoting the development of the performing arts and offering high-quality artistic shows, both locally, nationally and internationally. The Teatro de la Ciudad is the largest stage of its kind in the state where plays, musical concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, conferences and civic ceremonies of various kinds are presented. Inaugurated on January 26, 1986, it is unique in the state, with its Italian style and its capacity of 1,143 seats, information module services, exhibitions, spaces for cultural events.
