The visual artist César Perales, originally from Alicante and based in Todos Santos, returns to ABC Art Baja with an unprecedented mural intervention that is part of the 2025 festival's public circuit. His work, which transitions between muralism, painting, and tattooing, stands out for its symbolic aesthetic that explores the links between identity, environment, and collective memory.
Active member of the collective The NestPerales has transformed his studio in the El Pescadero desert into a creative laboratory and artist residency. From there, he promotes collaborative projects that engage with the geography of Baja California Sur and seek to expand art beyond traditional venues.
In this edition, his piece is articulated as a visual narrative in tune with the landscape and architecture of the site. With textures, symbols, and geometries, César constructs a proposal that invites us to reexamine the everyday and rediscover the poetic power of public space.
Your participation reaffirms the spirit of ABC Art Baja: Activating the local with a contemporary, decentralized vision open to the intersection of languages. Perales doesn't just paint walls; he turns them into meeting points for art, community, and territory.
