PATIO BY ZⓈONAMACO estará abierto al público del 9 de marzo al 5 de mayo en un horario de 10 AM a 6 PM de lunes a domingo. San José del Cabo, 11 de marzo, 2024.- El pasado fin de semana, PATIO BY ZⓈONAMACO, programa de intervenciones artísticas como esculturas de gran escala, instalaciones, piezas efímeras, y performances, inauguró su programa en Jardín Escultórico Puerto Los Cabos y Hotel El Ganzo, sede de exhibición en San José. En esta edición, participan 24 propuestas que fueron elegidas por un equipo curatorial conformado por Juan Canela, (curador jefe MAC Panamá / co-curador Bienal Arte Paiz Guatemala) y Lena Solá Nogué, (asistente curatorial del Museo Tamayo, Ciudad de México). Algunas de estas piezas, cuentan con reconocimientos de la Palm Foundation. La inauguración contó con una programación especial que inició con un recorrido para invitados VIP y prensa que guiaron los curadores Canela y Solá junto a los artistas Miguel Fernández de Castro, Rodrigo Garrido, Lorena Ancona, Ariel Schlesinger, Beatriz Cortez, Goga Trascierra, Elti Alejandro López Lora, Chris Wyrick, Steven Jacobi, Kate Kuaimoku, Oso Parado y Laia Estruch. Más tarde en Hotel El Ganzo se llevó a cabo una conversación con los curadores y Lorena Peña Brito, founder of Inari Maru. Arte, Imaginación y Costa. También se presentaron los performances: Kite 4 de la artista Laia Estruch, Beach Labyrinth por Daniel Dugán, Bordando Sueños por Adriana María Martínez (activación de pieza performática gratuita con niños de Padrino Foundation) y DES/ORDEN de Leslie Molina y Jess Whelligan. Además de las actividades con motivo de la inauguración de PATIO BY ZⓈONAMACO, también ocurrieron otros eventos durante el fin de semana como parte del arranque del festival: Callejoneada y Batucada con BAHIABEAT. Comenzando en LAB Baja pasando por el centro de San José del Cabo, Vinyl Nights en el Hotel El Ganzo, Conversación y tour con el artista: Sean W. Spellman en Drift Hotel, la inauguración de la exposición Imaginario de Antequera: Una mirada al arte oaxaqueño en Los Cabos en NN Galería, un concierto de Dinoflagellates (Gonzalo Lebrija, Francisco Ugarte & Pier Martínez) en Hotel El Ganzo, inauguración de la exposición Agua y cielode Laura Constanza Medina Mora en Casa Doma, DJ set Camino Saturno en Crania, así como el DJ set Addie O, Jess C, Lo Stine. También se llevó a cabo el Open House Studio de Francois Paris en Casa Loka Vista, Sunday Beach Vinyls en Hotel El Ganzo Beach Club, Live Music y Performance acompañado con Mezcal en el Drift Hotel y Poolside Sessions en The Rooftop del Hotel El Ganzo. The participating proposals were chosen by the curatorial team composed of Juan Canela (chief curator MAC Panama / co-curator Bienal Arte Paiz Guatemala) and Lena Solà Nogué (curatorial assistant at the Tamayo Museum, Mexico City). As part of this same program, the Palm Foundation awarded a prize valued at $45,000 USD to artists selected by the curatorial committee for the creation of large-scale physical pieces that will also be exhibited as part of PATIO. PILAR TOMPKINS RIVAS USA,1974 Chief Curator and Deputy Director of Curatorial and Collections at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, currently under construction in Los Angeles. In her role at the Lucas Museum, Tompkins Rivas provides leadership, strategic direction, and managerial oversight for curatorial, exhibitions, acquisitions, collections management, and conservation.
